Girl Scouts Contemplate a Work of Art in the Galleries

Women and Art Girl Scout Program

Discover the life and vision of our native founder, Eleanor Norcross, with a guided visit to see her works painted in Paris and sketch your favorite in her gallery. Learn about the art world at the time, the painting style known as Impressionism, and about other women artists. After a lunch break, create your own art using watercolor pencils and paints in our art studio. Guided tour of our special exhibition follows. Open to troops and girls with an adult. Bring a bag lunch. Reservations required.

Papyrus To Paper Girl Scout Program

Explore the ancient civilization of Egypt with a guided, interactive tour of Discover Ancient Egypt. View real mummies, real tomb treasures, hold replicas of artifacts and learn what everyday life was like along the Nile. Following a lunch break, create an Egyptian art activity in our art studio. A guided tour of our special exhibition follows. Open to troops and girls with an adult. Bring a bag lunch. Reservations required.
