CALL AND RESPONSE: E PLURIBUS UNUM

June 22, 2018 — September 2, 2018

Call and Response: E Pluribus Unum is the result of the sixth annual collaboration between the Fitchburg Art Museum and ArtsWorcester. The historic motto of our nation—out of many, one—is also a way to conceptualize how we make and think about art. Works from FAM’s collection and by ArtsWorcester members Jennifer Amenta, Tess Barbato, Aimee Cotnoir, Katherine Grady, Timothy A. Johnson, Amy Klausmeyer, Madeleine Lord, Piyali Samant, Amanda Kidd Schall, and William Scully will be featured in one collaborative exhibition. These twenty works express the theme through technique or subject matter, exploring how multiple parts come together to create a unified experience.
