General Information
Art in Bloom 2026 will be free to attend. This year, FAM will showcase 40 works selected for floral interpretation by the Art in Bloom Committee from our current exhibitions.
Featured exhibitions include Kaleidoscope: 100 Years of Collecting for Our Community, Tara Sellios | Ask Now the Beasts, and FESTIVAL: A Celebration of African Art at the Fitchburg Art Museum.
Regional florists, garden clubs, and community designers — interpret works from the Museum’s collection, inviting hundreds of visitors into an immersive experience of art and community. Live music fills the galleries, floral demonstrations offer behind-the-scenes insight, and the much-anticipated Champagne Reception brings visitors together in a festive setting.
Fitchburg Art Museum and Laurelwood Garden Club present Art in Bloom. The multi-day event is the Fitchburg Art Museum’s most celebrated spring event, transforming our galleries into a vibrant, multi-sensory celebration of art and nature.
Museum hours during Art in Bloom are as follows: Thursday, April 23, from 1 to 5 PM; Friday, April 24, from 11 AM to 5 PM; and Saturday and Sunday, regular hours from 11 am to 5 PM. Admission is free for all as part of FAM’s Centennial celebration. Suggested donation amount of $10.00.
Interpreters will receive a complimentary ticket to the Champagne Reception on Friday, April 24, from 6 to 8 PM. Hors d’oeuvres by Finicky Fork and music by The Eric Clough Trio.

How much is it to attend Art in Bloom?
In celebration of FAM’s Centennial, Art in Bloom general admission is free to the public. Donations are welcome to support the event.
What does Art in Bloom general admission include?
Guests are given a program for the event as well as a map of the 40 floral interpretations which includes access information such as elevators and restrooms.
They are invited to explore the entirety of the Museum, vote for their favorite interpretation, and attend any of the daytime programming including Make Art @ FAM.
Is Art in Bloom family-friendly?
Yes, this is a family-friendly event with activities such as Make Art at FAM. Guests of all ages are encouraged to attend.
Families with young children may prefer not to attend the Champagne Reception on Friday, April 25 from 6 to 8 pm, which is an evening event with a bar.

Where should I park?
Free parking is available in our Elm Street lot (in front of the Museum entrance) and our Merriam Parkway Courtyard lot (around the corner). Accessible parking is in the Elm Street lot near the entrance.
Free on-street parking is available on Elm Street. Metered parking is available on Main Street, with two public garages nearby at 412 Main Street and 133 Boulder Drive.
During the Champagne Reception, there will be additional free parking courtesy of Workers Credit Union in their Academy Street lot.
What is the People’s Choice award?
The People’s choice award is given to the Art in Bloom Interpreter who has received the most votes from our staff and guests. During your visit to Art in Bloom, be sure to make your selection and submit your vote at the Laurelwood Garden Club information table.

Friday, April 24: 6:00–8:00 p.m.
What does my ticket to the Champagne Reception include?
Tickets include special catering by Finicky Fork, live music by the Eric Clough Jazz Trio, access to the entire Museum, and a complimentary drink to toast the beautiful blooms.

What should I wear to the Champagne Reception?
Dress to celebrate. This special evening is a celebration of Art in Bloom to which many choose to wear their floral finest!
