One hundred years ago, Eleanor Norcross dreamed of an art museum for Fitchburg — for this community. That dream is very much alive. Today, FAM is an anchor for a changing and vibrant city: a bilingual institution where neighbors, families, students, and first-time visitors walk through our doors free of charge and find something that moves them.

Your charitable gift to the Annual Fund makes all of it possible. The Annual Fund is FAM’s most important source of unrestricted support — fueling the full range of museum operations, from exhibitions and education to collection care and community programs. Every dollar goes to work immediately, right here in Fitchburg and North Central Massachusetts.

Dynamic exhibitions — From our landmark Centennial exhibition Kaleidoscope: 100 Years of Collecting for Our Community to solo and regional exhibitions, your support brings art to life in our galleries.
Education and community programs — FAM partners with Fitchburg Public Schools, Fitchburg State University, and dozens of community organizations to champion creativity as a force for community vitality.
Care of FAM’s collection — Your support helps preserve and steward the permanent collection, held in trust for this community for generations to come.
