DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP


Join FAM’s development team as an intern. You’ll assist in all aspects of the Fitchburg Art Museum’s development operations. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and execution of special events, assisting with research projects, supporting gift acknowledgement and fulfillment activities, and providing administrative support to Development Department as needed. Interns will also learn how to use the donor database Altru and help maintain it through gathering and updating contact information. Good opportunity for students interested in non-profit management, events, fundraising, and art museums.

Internship Qualifications: College student with excellent written and oral communication, planning and organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and precise attention to detail are required. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of and ease with Microsoft Office. Database experience a plus. Able to multitask. Must effectively interact with members of the Development staff, as well as other museum departments.

HOURS

Wednesdays through Fridays: 12–4pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 11am–5pm
First Thursday of each month: 12–7pm
